Project Overview:
The USS Midway is a legendary aircraft carrier of the United States Navy, served between 1945 to 1992. As the first large aircraft carrier built after World War II, it participated in several significant military operations and played a crucial role during the Cold War. The Midway features a unique design with multiple flight decks and hangars, supporting various types of aircraft. Today, it has been converted into a museum, attracting numerous visitors to learn about naval history and aviation technology. Bimodeling empowered specialized 3D scanners to gather hull data of the aircraft carrier and generated a reverse 3D model.

Project Details:
Bimodeling utilized high-precision specialized 3D scanners to comprehensively capture hull data of the aircraft carrier, obtaining detailed surface geometry and structural information. Subsequently, advanced reverse engineering techniques were employed to generate a complete 3D digital model. This model not only accurately replicated the complex features of the hull but also provided reliable technical support and decision-making insights for subsequent maintenance, modifications, and performance optimization.
