Project Overview:
The Wan'an Building does not refer to a single building, but rather a complex of structures that is located in the Zhangpu County, Zhangzhou City. The Wan'an Building was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty with a history of 464 years. It is one of the more well-preserved Ming Dynasty architectural complexes in the region. Covering an area of 12,000 m2 (~ 129166.93 sqft), the main buildings were constructed of wood and stone. Due to years of neglect, several individual buildings and sections of the surrounding walls have collapsed, and the remaining structures are in a state of disrepair.
Bimodeling utilized advanced 3D scanning equipment from the industry to collect current state data of the building complex and organized it via reverse 3D documentation, providing a data basis for the preservation and restoration of the Wan'an Building complex.
