Project Overview:

The ancient western-style building project is located in the middle section of West Street, Quanzhou, adjacent to the Kaiyuan Temple. The building was constructed in 1915 and it faces west with an area of 406.5 m2 (Over 4375.53 sqft). It was a typical early 20th-century structure, combining Chinese and Western architectural elements as well as incorporating styles from Spain, the Philippines, and Quanzhou. The building is of substantial historical, cultural, artistic, and scientific importance, particularly in its architectural layout, façade design, and intricate detailing.


BIM modeling utilized advanced 3D scanning technology to meticulously capture the  ancient western-style building's current condition. This data enabled the creation of a highly accurate reverse-engineered model, faithfully restoring its original form. The precise information provided critical support to the construction team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the restoration work.
